Best value-for-money mattress 2026: the 6 Morfeo models

In short

The best value-for-money mattress from Morfeo in 2026 is the Original Hybrid: over 2,000 pocketed micro-springs with memory foam, firm support with comfort, and a washable cover. Switch to the VisCool if you get hot, the XL if you weigh more than 95 kg, and the Nature if you want the most premium option. All are made in Yecla and come with a 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty.

This is not an independent comparison: we are the manufacturer. That is why there are no scores out of 100 or "winners" that we award ourselves. What there is, however, is what each mattress contains, who we make it for and who it is not for, and a checklist that you can use to compare any mattress, whether ours or not.

The 6 Morfeo mattresses of 2026, compared

How we chose

We did not conduct laboratory tests for this article, nor will we give you scores. We have ordered the range by the six criteria that truly change how you sleep, and we explain what each one means so you can also apply it to other mattresses.

  1. Core material. This is what provides support. A pocketed spring core distributes weight point by point and allows air to pass through; a foam core is lighter and quieter. Five of our six mattresses have pocketed springs; the Juvenil Lite uses HR foam.
  2. Firmness. This is not about quality: it is about preference and need. In the range, it goes from medium (Nature, Juvenil Lite) to firm (Original Hybrid, VisCool, XL), with the Altus being medium-firm. If you are torn between two, you can find more details in the guide on how to choose a mattress step by step.
  3. Weight. This is the criterion that allows no compromise. A core designed for 70 kg does not perform the same way with 110. That is why we separate the XL from the rest.
  4. Posture. If you sleep on your side, you need your shoulder and hip to sink in slightly; on your back, your lumbar area should not be left suspended; on your stomach, your hip should not sink in. The comfort layers (memory foam, latex, topper) are what determine that level of comfort.
  5. Heat. If you wake up sweating, the fabric and top layer matter more than the core. At Morfeo, the order of coolness is VisCool, followed by Altus, and then Nature.
  6. Budget. We looked at the price along with what is included: home trial, warranty, shipping, and collection. A cheap mattress with no returns can end up costing you dearly if you choose the wrong one.

Value for money: what to look for in any mattress before paying

Two mattresses at the same price can have very different value. Before buying, wherever you may be, check these six points. If a store cannot answer any of them clearly, that is an answer in itself.

Checklist

Six questions before paying for a mattress

  • Home trial. How many nights? Is there a minimum number of nights before you can return it? Do you have to return it in its original packaging?
  • Warranty and what it covers. Years are not enough: ask how many centimeters of sinking are considered a defect and what is excluded.
  • Weight limit. Up to how many kilos per person is it guaranteed? If you weigh more, the warranty may not cover you.
  • Cover. Is it removable? Is it washable at home, and at what temperature? If it is not removable, you will need a protector from day one.
  • Origin and manufacturing. Where is it made? Is it made to order or shipped from a warehouse? What certifications do the fabrics have?
  • Timeframe and collection. How many days does it take? Is shipping included? If you return it, who pays for the collection? Do they take away your old mattress, when, and for how much?

Our answers, so you can compare: 100 nights with no minimum (you can return it from the first day), a 10-year warranty covering manufacturing defects, 95 kg per person (more: XL Mattress), made to order in Yecla, delivery in 3-7 business days with free shipping on the mainland and free collection if you return it.

One more practical tip: always compare the same size. The "from" price is for the smallest size; the one you want is for your bed. In the collection of 150x190 mattresses, you can see all the models with their price for that size.

And if you prefer to pay in installments, Morfeo mattresses can be paid for in 3 interest-free installments with Klarna or 4 with Alma, at the same price you see on the website. We explain it in interest-free installment mattresses.

Which is the best mattress for you?

If you recognize yourself in one of these situations, this is the model we recommend and why.

You sleep as a couple

Original Hybrid

The pocketed micro-springs work independently: if your partner moves or gets up, they barely affect you. If you prefer something less firm, the Altus has the same core. More on the best mattress for couples.

You take care of your back

Original Hybrid or Altus

Firm support with comfort, or medium-firm: a core that supports the hip and a layer that accommodates the shoulders. This is not a treatment; if the pain persists, consult your doctor or physical therapist.

You get hot

VisCool

The coolest in the range: PCM fabric that absorbs excess heat and releases it when your body temperature drops, over pocketed springs. We explain it in cool mattress for hot weather.

View the VisCool

Over 95 kg

XL Mattress

The only one in the range with a reinforced structure, designed for over 100 kg. The rest are guaranteed for up to 95 kg per person, so there is no alternative here. More on mattresses for overweight people.

View the XL Mattress

Tight budget

Original Hybrid

It is Morfeo's most affordable adult mattress and the one with the most reviews. The Juvenil Lite costs about the same, but it is designed for children and teenagers.

You want the most premium option

Nature

Natural latex, integrated organic cotton topper, and 32 cm, the tallest in the range. Medium firmness: soft when you lie down and firm where your back needs it, with reinforced edges.

What about Atelier and Aurum?

These are the mattresses from the BePure line, which we make for boutique hotels, suites, and interior designers: double titanium spring core, linen, merino wool, and natural cotton, 32 cm high. Their conditions are different from the rest: they do not have a 100-night trial (they can be returned within the legal 14-day period), they maintain a 10-year warranty, and they are delivered in 12 days. You can see the Atelier and the Aurum on their product pages. For home use, the Nature remains our premium recommendation.

Who each model is for (and who it is not for)

Original Hybrid: the one we recommend by default

Firm support with a memory foam layer that accommodates you without letting you sink in. It is for those who want a straight back without sleeping on a board, and it is the only adult mattress in the range with a removable cover that can be washed at 30 °C. It is not for you if you like soft mattresses: look at the Nature. It is also made in 210 cm lengths (150x210 and 160x210) for tall people.

Altus: the same core, slightly less firm

It has the same pocketed micro-springs as the Original Hybrid, with medium-firm support and a linen outer fabric that breathes naturally. After the VisCool, it is the coolest in the range. Keep in mind that it does not have a removable cover: the linen is integrated, so a breathable protector is recommended from day one.

VisCool: for those who wake up hot

Its top layer is not just a breathable fabric: it is a phase change material (PCM) that absorbs excess heat and releases it when your body temperature drops, and underneath it has an open-cell VisCool foam with soybean oil. Firm support on pocketed springs. It is not for you if you are looking for a soft feel.

Nature: the most comfortable and natural

Pocketed springs for support, natural latex that adapts to the body, and an organic cotton topper on the surface. Medium firmness and 32 cm high. Keep in mind that in terms of coolness it falls behind the VisCool and the Altus, and that it does not have a removable cover.

XL Mattress: the only one for over 95 kg

Pocketed springs and high-density foam with a reinforced structure that prevents sinking from intensive use. Firm support and independent sleeping surfaces. It arrives rolled up at home and does not have a removable cover.

Juvenil Lite: for children and teenagers

High-density HR core, 4 cm of perforated Visco Airscape, medium firmness, and 22 cm, which fits in toddler beds and bunk beds. Zippered cover, machine washable. Covers ages 4 to 18.

What customers say

As of 12/10/2026, the Morfeo store has 554 reviews on Judge.me with an average of 4.75 out of 5. For mattresses, by model (count as of 25/09/2026): Original Hybrid 114 (4.81), Altus 35 (4.94), Nature 15 (4.80), and VisCool 7 (4.43). With seven reviews, the VisCool average can still fluctuate significantly; those of the Original Hybrid and the Altus are the ones with backing. Three literal excerpts:

"It is a good value-for-money mattress, I sleep quite well […] you always have to pay attention to what type of mattress you sleep best on: firm, medium-firm, or soft."

Sebastián Gelabert Bordoy · Original Hybrid · October 2021 · ★★★★★

"It is firm but comfortable and does not generate heat. For the price and quality, it is an exceptional purchase."

David Lucio Moral Martínez · Altus · September 2024 · ★★★★★

"the mattress is really firm, with good heat breathability and independent sleeping surfaces, and the handles are appreciated."

Germán Monje Mazo · Original Hybrid · May 2022 · ★★★★

And what did not go well: the four three-star reviews are from 2021 and 2022; three complain about the delivery or the collection of the old mattress and none about the mattress itself. You can read them all, unfiltered, on the customer reviews page or in our analysis of Morfeo mattress reviews.

Trial, warranty and delivery

These conditions are for the six mattresses in the table (not for Atelier and Aurum, nor for furniture or pillows):

  1. 100-night trial. No minimum number of nights: you can return it from the first day, and the collection is on us. If you buy it in a pack, the trial covers the mattress, not the rest of the pieces.
  2. 10-year warranty. Covers manufacturing defects.
  3. Delivery in 3-7 business days on the mainland, with free shipping.
  4. Made in Spain. The entire catalog is made to order in our factory in Yecla (Murcia).

Frequently asked questions

Which is the best value-for-money mattress from Morfeo in 2026?

It has 114 reviews on Judge.me with an average of 4.81 out of 5 (count as of 25/09/2026).

Which mattress should I buy if I don't know which one to choose?

If you don't have a specific need, start with the Original Hybrid. Only change if you clearly fit one of these cases: you get very hot (VisCool), you weigh more than 95 kg (XL Mattress), you want a cozier feel and natural materials (Nature), or you prefer something slightly less firm with linen fabric (Altus). With 100 nights to try it, if you make the wrong choice you can return it from day one.

In the Morfeo range, the most affordable is the Original Hybrid and the top-of-the-range is the Nature; you can find the price of each in 150x190 on its product page. More than the price, compare what is included: days to try it at home, years of warranty and what it covers, shipping, collection if you return it and the weight it is guaranteed for.

Which mattress is best for couples?

One with pocket springs, because each spring works separately and the other person's movements barely reach your side. At Morfeo, the Original Hybrid if you like it firm and the Altus if you prefer a little less firmness. If one of the two weighs more than 95 kg, the appropriate mattress is the XL.

What is the coolest mattress at Morfeo?

The VisCool. It features a PCM top fabric that absorbs heat when your body warms up and releases it when the temperature drops, and open-cell VisCool foam on pocket springs. Next come the Altus, with linen fabric, and the Nature.

What mattress do I need if I weigh more than 95 kg?

The Morfeo XL Mattress. All other Morfeo mattresses are guaranteed up to 95 kg per person; the XL has a reinforced pocket spring and high-density foam structure, designed for people over 100 kg. It arrives at home rolled up.

What is Morfeo's most premium mattress?

For the home, the Nature: natural latex, integrated organic cotton topper, pocket springs and 32 cm height. Morfeo also makes the Atelier and Aurum, from the BePure line for hotels and interior designers, with titanium springs and merino wool; those two do not have the 100-night trial (they can be returned within the legal 14-day period) and are delivered in 12 days.

If you don't know which one to start with

Start with the Original Hybrid and only change if you clearly fit one of these cases: heat, more than 95 kg or a desire for something cozier. You have 100 nights to try it in your bed.
