Does the 90x190 size need to match the mattress exactly?
Yes! Your ottoman bed and mattress should be 90x190 for firm and stable support. Using different sizes might cause issues or make the mattress stick out.
Are the measurements exact, or can there be some wiggle room?
For upholstered products, there might be a tolerance of ±1–2 cm in length and/or width. This is totally normal and won't affect its compatibility with 90x190 mattresses.
How much space should I leave to move around and open the ottoman bed?
To move around comfortably, make sure to leave at least 60 cm free on the sides and 70–80 cm at the foot of the bed. This way, you'll be able to open the lift-up lid without any trouble and keep your bedroom feeling spacious.
What will the total height of the bed be once I add my mattress?
It depends on the height of the ottoman bed + the mattress. For reference, a 35 cm ottoman bed with a 25 cm mattress gives you an approximate height of 60 cm. This helps you check if it fits nicely with your bedside tables and the ergonomics you prefer.
